The Tom Collins is the perfect summer cocktail. It is sweet, citrusy, sparkling and refreshing. Gin cocktails are not normally thought of as light, but this one is. This particular concoction is perfect for those who don't like the taste of alcohol but want the sweet buzz that they provide. So be careful with this one. It can be deceptive!I'm dubbing this one the cocktail of Summer 17. Watch the video below for more details. I like mine sweet and boozy, so modify as you see fit.For the written recipe, Click:INGREDIENTS:2 to 3 oz Gin.75 oz lemon juice.5 oz simple syrup1 to 2 oz of club sodaMETHODIn a shaker mix the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup. Add a half cup of ice and shake.Strain the contents of the shaker into a frosted glass over ice.Top it off with club soda. Garnish with maraschino cherries and or lemon slices.TIP
If you like your drink more citrusy or sour, add more lemon juice.
If you like your drink a little weaker, do 2oz of gin and 2 oz of club soda.
And if you like your drinks more boozy, a 3oz pour of gin with the 1oz pour of club soda should do the trick.
